Knicks 82, Heat 80 - Brian
Yep.. I'm finally gonna comment on the game. Who has the last laugh, Zo??? That's right!!! THE KNICKS!!! Man, that guy pissed me off.. what is really necessary to act like he did?!? NO. That's why the Heat lost! Besides the fact that they suck. How about Camby once again? That boy can dunk! Its been a long time since we've had some we could just give the ball to and just throw it down. But back to the game.. basically the Knicks showed up to play only after about 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. They were down by 20 at one point. But that's when they actually showed some life. That's when the 4th quarter came. The Knicks opened up a lot of penetration into the lane and getting layups. Then Houston hit a few jumpers and got to the line.. the Knicks hit ALL their free throws. Then LJ hit a long 3 to tie the game. Hardaway hit another one of his 10 mile 3's to give the Heat a 3 point lead.. but that's the last time they would score. Camby then got a nice feed from Childs and dunked it for a 3 point play. Childs got fouled and hit both his free throws to give the Knicks the 2 point lead. The defense took it from there and that was all she wrote. So F%$# MIAMI!!! GO NY!!! The Knicks now have sole posession of the 8th seed. and they are 1 game behind the 5th spot.. so we'll see what happens..
Knicks 110, Hornets 105 - Jen
Was almost a week since the last game. Didn't know what to expect from them..wasn't sure if too much rest would make them rusty or if that would give them the fire back in their game. The first quarter was all shooting and no D by both teams..we shot like 65% just in that quarter. By halftime we were up by 14 and increased the lead by as much as 18 in the 3rd. The reason why we played so well was cuz Houston was hot from the start. He was driving..passing..posting up..damn he was doing it all. Then there was also Camby..honestly I think he just needs more playing time. If he wasn't there to dunk those loose balls we might've lost this game. Another key factor was good free throwing shooting too. And Ewing hit a key shot at the end too..finally..too many games where he has missed and lost the game for us. This was really a close game at the end though..at one point we were only up by 2. Left the Hornets open for too many 3s..that showed our lack of D. These 4th quarter breakdowns really gotta stop. But the game was soo physcial it seemed rather intense. First, Elden Campbell throws an elbow at Kurt Thomas that sends him flying to the floor. The refs saw that and closed a foul on him, but he didn't like the call and went up to the ref and said something that resulted in him getting ejected. The heated moment of the game was when fat boy Coleman shoved Ewing after he was called for travelling. The Ewing went after him and Ward was pushing Ewing away, but Ewing didn't like that so he was mad at Ward and it loked like at any moment the two of them were gonna go at it too. It's all Coleman's fault..stupid fool. Too bad the Raptors beat the Magic though..argg!!
Knicks 93, Nets 78 - Jen
Hmm..normally either me or Brian would have lots to say about a Knick win, but unfortunately neither one of us was able to watch the game on NBC. Why you ask..well NBC decided to broadcast the Rockets/Jazz game instead. How many eastcoast viewers really care about them rockets or jazz anyway. Think we would rather watch the NY/NJ game. From the stats I guess I'll just assumed that we played a very good game..offensively and defensively. Too bad I wasn't able to watch LJ shoot 3/4 3's..argg!!! Sure beating the Nets may not be the biggest thing in the world, but winning any game is good for us.
Knicks 86, Hawks 78 - Jen
Woohoo..we finally win a game. I'm not gonna have much to say about this game though. Was rather occupied to watch the game from start to finish. Took them long enough to with a game..3 straight loses was really starting to make me doubt them. Having Camby back was a factor..from what I saw..he does help defensively with rebounds and blocking too. The surprising player of the game..yeah..the msg staff voted that Childs is the player of the game..hard to believe right?? After watching the postgame report..they interviewed Childs..and the guy got a tooth knocked out by that elbow throwing Mutombo. But what Childs said about it might get him in trouble though..he said that next time Mutombo is gonna get what he deserves..hopefully during the playoffs too. Wasn't too smart of him to say that..shoulda kept that to himself. Yeah..I gotta admit that he did play well. Lately Ward hasn't been able to handle the ball and he has one of the worst assist/turnover ratio in the league too. This game was also a close game..we were tied at halftime, but we started to take control slowly in the 3rd quarter. Another key factor has to be the amount of turnovers...only had 10 for the game and 1 for the 4th quarter..that's good..especially for us. And the freethrow shooting was around 80% too. It was soo good to see the energy from the bench too..to see everyone cheer for the players on the court. Hopefully this shows that the old Knick energy is coming back. Bring Jersey on...yeah..Marbury and those Jersey boyz..hehehe.
Hornets 106, Knicks 86 - Jen
I'm really gonna try my best to contain myself. Missed the first half of the game and I think i should be glad that I did. When I saw we were down by freakin 20 pts at halftime..damn..I was soo close to not watching at all. Maybe the Knicks under that trader Riley woulda been able to come back, but we all know the Knicks that we've been watching this season would never be capable of coming back and winning a game. They can't even keep a lead and win one!!!! Poor Ewing was hurt too..at least they took him out so it wouldn't make the injury even worse..maybe Van Gundy knew the game was over so there was no need to put Ewing in the game. And what the hell is wrong with Childs..the guy has gotta try to learn how to shut his big fat mouth up. He says pple have gotta try to stop any unnecessary talking with the refs..does he ever look at himself and tell himself the same thing. Doesn't look like it to me. If we don't make the playoffs this year..there is definitely something wrong with us. C'mon..acquiring Spree and Camby was suppose to make a difference.
Magic 81, Knicks 72 - finally something by Jen =
I thought that maybe losing to the Pacers on Sun. would give us some energy to come back home and beat the Magic. The first half was pretty good though..we were up by 11 at halftime. Ewing and Houston were getting their shots in too. But that was just the first half..and lately the 2nd half is what kills us..lack of D and no one executes. What the hell is happening to Houston now..seems like he just loses his touch. Sure I love the guy..but he's gotta step up for 4 quarters and not just 2. Maybe not having Camby play 2nite was a factor...at last we would have someone to block or intimidate anyone driving down the lane. Wouldn't say that the Magic even played that well 2nite..more like we just suck big time..even the fans were booing them throughout the 2nd half and even as time was running out at the end. Wonder how the players feel having their HOME crowd boo them soooo many games this season. Maybe the only good thing..well hard to say if it's a good thing or not..but at least the Raptors lost 2nite to the Heat 2nite..so we didn't fall further behind..but the Heat won....argg!! Don't want to get started about them 2nite..not when we lost yet another game..damn. Why do I even bother watching and admitting that I'm a Knicks fan..sooo much frustration and heartache sometimes...maybe this is what every Knicks fan has to go through.
Pacers 108, Cavs 95 - by Brian
Alright.. I'm try to contain my anger over this game.. nah. The Pacers can kiss my *bleep*!!! The can *bleeeeeeep* and *bleeeeeeeeeeep* and even *bleeeeeeeeep*.
But all the problems the Knicks had can't be blamed on the Pacers since they executed and the Knicks DID NOT. Lets face it, he Knick defense sucked! If a freakin 6 foot guy can penetrate and score on 2 7-footers - something is wrong. I don't know what was wrong with the D, but it just wasn't there. I also see why Spree may be a liability. But then again.. the rest of the Knicks have to call for the ball and actually hit their shots. As you can see, I'm kinda pissed. Hopefully the Knicks can bounce back against the Magic on Tuesday. Hopefully the referees will be better too.. the Knicks seem to be getting screwed lately with BS calls from the officials on national television.
Knicks 98, Cavs 94 - by Brian
Since Jen isn't able to write this, I figure I will. Although I'm pretty sure she has some strong comments about the game. I thought it was a good game.. of course I only saw the second half though. The Knicks started to make a run but then they started doing dumb #$@% again. Turnovers and lack of shooting. But then they brought in Camby. This kid blocked, crashed the boards, and actually showed Van Gundy why he should get run. Ward had a nice spin into a reverse layup on a fast break. Childs hit a clutch 3.. think he's worth keeping? Houston play alright. Spree played like crap after finally getting a start. And Ewing hit his free throws down the stretch. Next stop, Indiana.
